Dr. Demetrice Grier is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience serving the mental health population. He started as a Licensed Practical Nurse, allowing him to grasp a great foundation of nursing. He completed his undergraduate degree in nursing at Pennsylvania State University and then obtained a master’s degree from Georgia Southern University. He continued his education and completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of North Georgia. Demetrice specializes in various mental health conditions, diagnosing and treating them across the lifespan, and provides brief counseling, motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, and pharmacotherapy (medication management). He firmly believes in empathy, understanding, and providing care in a non-judgmental approach. He feels these qualities are imperative to provide optimal treatment for patients with mental health conditions.
